The Hollow Position in the Chest to Bar Pull-up

Today I’ve got another video with Coach Colin from CrossFit Bovine, this time talking about the hollow body position in the chest to bar pull-up. The ability to maintain a stable body position throughout the entirety of a movement is vital. It is becoming more and more apparent in CrossFit that the strict gymnastics movements are going to be tested.

As I noted after the South Regionals: “I cannot emphasize how important STRICT GYMNASTICS movements are! Dave Castro is trying to weed you out, and the best way to do it is through Gymnastics. Lifting weights is important, but not in place of gymnastics!” and of course Coach Colin was right on the same page, “Relative strength is king!”
