The Professional Fitness Specialist will work with clients to improve their physical performance, prevent or recover from injuries, and enhance their overall well-being.
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Assisting with rehabilitation treatment/activities under the supervision of a licensed Therapist
- Managing Infrared Sauna/cold plunge logistics
- Ensuring and contributing to the cleanliness of the clinic
- Ensuring and contributing to a safe environment
- Documenting notes for Therapist
- Stretching Athletes
- Creating rehab programs for athletes
- Creating strength and conditioning programs for athletes
- Managing programs
- Assist with client assessments
- Follow up care
- Other duties as assigned
Athlete Care – Knowledge of principles and processes for providing athlete care as directed by doctor. This includes client/athlete need’s assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of service and care satisfaction.
Communications and Media – Knowledge of social media content, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods. This includes alternative ways to inform and entertain via written, oral, and visual media by utilizing social media platforms.
Administrative Role: Will cross train to assist with scheduling on an as needed basis, must have excellent communication skills and be willing to interact with athletes daily.
Qualifications
- Bachelors in Kinesiology
- Exercise Science Degree
- Exercise physiologist
- Must have experience in working as a Personal Trainer or Fitness Coach.
- Must be able to multitask without compromising accuracy in work.
- Understanding of anatomy, physiology, and principles of physical fitness.
- Must have the ability to provide hands on training, stretches, etc. with patients/athletes
- Must be able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
- Must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and the healthcare team
- Must have knowledge of assisted stretching and other recovery techniques
- Must have exceptional customer service skills
- Must be reliable and adhere to punctuality and attendance policy

Hourly rate between: $20-24/hr
